Narendra Modi declare war on Campuses

It seem, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi is a good student of Nazi and Zionist propaganda techniques. After economic failure, regional isolation and rising anti-government student movement Modi has declared open war at Universities to kill the freedom of speech.

On Monday, hundreds of students held a protest rally in the Indian occupied Kashmir over the arrest of Alaa Fazili, a PhD student at University of Kashmir.

India is using the national investigation agency (NIA) as a new weapon of war to intimidate and silence those who are speaking against the brutalities of forces. Such tactics have not worked in past and they will not work now,” said a student protester.

The very first action by the Modi government when it came to power was against student a Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) where the full might of the state was evident in trying to crack down the criticism of Modi government’s Hindu extremist policy against minorities. Accompanied by violence, even at the Patiala courts where lawyers beat up students and journalists. The effort was to break the resistance and ensure virtual takeover of the campus by the BJP student wing, ABVP,” said editorial at The Citizen on September 24, 2017.

Last year, protesters at the JNU burned an effigy of Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders to mark the victory of truth over falsehood.

We celebrated the victory of truth over falsehood in a modern and democratic country by burning effigies. For us Modi and RSS are symbol of untruth,” said Sunny Dhiman, a member of the NSUI.

Since then anti-government protests have spread to 18 other campuses. Hindu extremist government officials and pro-Modi press is calling everyone traitor who dare to criticize police brutality against students.

The opposition and critics say the government is trying to shift public attention from its failure. The economy is showing no signs of a great turnaround, as many had expected with Narendra Modi coming to power. Despite historic low prices of fuel, of which India is a net importer, the GDP growth rate has increased only marginally. The stock markets have fallen to the levels that prevailed under the previous government, which was battling high inflation and low growth. The Modi government’s “Make in India” campaign has not resulted in the hoped-for manufacturing revolution,” wrote Shivam Vij, an Indian journalist.

Rana Ayyub: Indian author and PM Modi

On August 16, 2017, India’s award-wining Muslim female investigative journalist and author Rana Ayyub, 33, was presented with the Courage in Journalism Award by the Vancouver-based Radical Desi monthly news magazine founded by a Sikh journalist Gurpreet Singh.

Indian journalist and author of 2016 investigative book, Gujarat Files, Rana Ayyub exposing the Indian government’s cover-up of 2002 Muslim massacre in Gujarat state under the premiership of the current Indian prime minister Narendra Modi also known as Butcher of Gujarat, which resulted in murder of more than 2,000 Muslim men, women ad children while Hindu fascists rapped hundreds of Muslim girls and women (watch video below).

In order to get to bottom of the massacre plot, Rana Ayyub talked to leaders of the BJP, RSS, VHP and other anti-Muslim Hindu extremist groups and attended their meetings posed as an upper-class Brahmin American filmmaker Maithili Tyagi with a hidden microphone under her western dress. At that time she was working as a journalist for Indian magazine Tehelka. She even met Narendra Modi who was leader of RSS then. Mahatma Gandhi’s killer Nathuram Vinayak Godse was a member of RSS.

The Tehelka editors under Hindutva pressure refused to publish her investigative report which claimed that Gujarat state government headed by Modi blamed the train deaths on Muslim extremists, but that was never proven. According to Ayyub, police killed Muslim men in staged “encounters”, and later described them as jihadi extremists.

Rana Ayyub resigned from Tehelka in protest and tried to published a book on her investigative report but no Indian publisher would take the risk. In the end, she published it by herself. The book’s forward is written by retired Indian Supreme Court justice B.N. Srikrishna – and 50,000 of its copies have been sold so far.

Because of her book implicating Modi in the 2002 massacre, Rana Ayyub is unable to find a full-time job in journalism. She has received abusive and physical threats from rabid followers of the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party. On April 6, 2017 Rana Ayyub, took to Twitter to name and shame a Hindu who had sent her abusive messages with sexual overtones on Facebook.

In October 2016, Rana Ayyub who was the chief speaker at an event organised by the Indian Association of Bihar and Jharkhand (IABJ) in Doha, Qatar, was told by the organisers that they were instructed by Indian ambassador to either cancel the event or drop her from the list of speakers. Along with Ayyub, Kashif-Ul-Huda, founder of the news website Two Circles.net, was also supposed to speak at the same event that was planned as a commemorative programme celebrating the 85th birth anniversary of former Indian president and Father of the Hindu nuclear Bomb, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Last month, the Vancouver temple (Gurdwara) where Narendra Modi spoke in 2015, denied an opportunity to Rana Ayyub to address the congregation under Indian government pressure.

Last year, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau made fun of Narendra Modi by saying his cabinet has more Sikh ministers (4) than Narendra Modi’s (2).

India: Guru’s rape trail cost 100 lives

On Friday, in the town of Panchkula (Haryana, India), Hindu mobs set fire to government buildings and attacked police and TV journalists, smashing windshields of 200 cars, vans and buses while breaking broadcast equipment after a court announced Guru Singh Ji-Insan also known GRR, guilty of rapping two of his young Hindu female disciples. The authorizes imposed curfew after the religious riots left more 100 dead and 200 injured (watch video below).

Thousands of men and women, some with children and babies came to support their Guruji. The Hindu sect claims to have 60 million members. It promotes vegetarianism and campaigns against drug addiction.

Initially a Congress party supporter, Gurmeet Ram Singh but campaigned for the ruling BJP party and other Hindu extremist groups in 2014 with the sect backing the Saffron Party in that year’s Lok Sabha and Haryana assembly elections.

Guru Singhji has cultivated a larger than life image in the region, largely because of the complete immunity and encouragement given to him by the political class. It is no secret that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party embraced this guru, seeking his support and fanning his Hindu extremism during the state elections even as he moved from a ‘guru’ to a rock star with albums and movies under his belt.

Guruji’s sexual exploitation became known when on September 25, 2002, Chandigarh-based Punjabi newspaper Desh Sewak published a letter written by a girl repeatedly rapped by GRR, addressed to then Congress party Indian prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee in 2002. In the letter she claimed that GRR kept captive and rapped many girls with the threat of killing their parents if they dared to talk to police or their friends.

Indian intellectuals are so fed-up with BJP’s Hindutva fascism that former Indian Supreme Court Justice Markandey Katju (a Kashmiri Brahmin) said last year in public that the “only way to save India is a revolution with politicians hung or shot.” The situation in India under Modi is not much different in United States under Trump administration.

On August 26, 2017, India’s Lt. Gen. (ret) P.C. Katoch’s article, entitled, Empire of a Rapist and Collusion of the State: 12 Questions, is worth reading. Katoch accuses the central and provincial governments and the law enforcement agencies of collaborating with the pro-GRR mob.

In India, a woman is rapped every 30 seconds while in United States, a woman is raped every 70 seconds.

India: The ‘untouchable’ who got lucky

A young Sujatha during her activism days in India.India is home to 230 million untouchable (low-caste) Hindus. Another 30 million live around the world – many of them converted to Islam and Christianity to escape Hindu caste system. Late Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is quoted saying: Hinduism is not a religion; it is a disease.

Last month, Indian-American Sujatha Gidla, published her memoir, Ants Among Elephants: An Untouchable Family and the Making of Modern India.

In her stirring memoir, Gidla, who is the first woman conductor of the New York subway, chronicles how her family challenged the Indian repressive social system through education, largely through converting to Christianity and her move to the United States.

Gidla was born in a small town of Khazipet in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh to a lower-middle class family. She was lucky her parents were educated and could afford to send her to school.

Outcastes, a lot of times think that education is the only way out. That’s how we got educated,” she said.

For those belonging to the lower caste in India, converting to another religion is seen as the only way out from the dungeons of Hindu caste system.

I set out to write the book only to find my family’s conversion to Christianity. But I ended up writing a lot about my uncle and what he did like confronting police, hiding comrades. This could make a very good Hollywood movie, except they were Maoists (communists),” Gidla said.

Indian journalist Suraj Yengde compared Hindu ‘untouchables’ to Jews in the Christian Europe (The Indian Express, January 20, 2016) which is not true as Jewish elites had always controlled European economy, media and had collaborated with European fascists such as Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.

Maybe, it’s time for the Indian government to build a Dalit Museum in New Delhi as the British taxpayers are building a new Holocaust Museum for the organized Jewry in London.

70 years ago India got its independence from British Crown. The country spends more money (US$53.5 billion) on its army to bully its neighbors than erasing poverty and religious racism among its citizens.

While 56% of Indian population lives below poverty line, and 18.35 million Indians live in ‘modern slavery’ – India ranks world’s top arms importer.

US slams India on its Independence Day

On August 15, 2017 while the Indian government of Narendra Modi and its Hindu extremist allies were celebrating country’s 70th birthday, its top ally United States blasted New Delhi of committing heinous religious policies against its minorities especially 150 million-strong Muslim minority.

On August 15, US secretary of state, Rex Tillerson unveiled the US state department’s 2016 International Religious Freedom Report.

Authorities frequently did not prosecute members of vigilante “cow protection” groups who attacked alleged smugglers, consumers, or traders of beef, usually Muslims, despite an increase in attacks compared to previous years. Courts also issued decisions on several long-standing cases related to religiously motivated violence and riots. Christian and Muslim activists stated the government was not doing enough to protect them against religiously motivated attacks. The government filed a Supreme Court petition challenging the minority status of Muslim educational institutions, which affords the institutions independence in hiring and curriculum decisions. Some nationalist political leaders advocated for the country to be declared a Hindu state,” the report said.

There were reports of religiously motivated killings, assaults, riots, discrimination, vandalism, and actions restricting the right of individuals to practice their religious beliefs and proselytize. There was an increase in violent incidents by cow protection groups against mostly Muslim victims, including killings, mob violence, assaults, and intimidation. Hindus threatened and assaulted Muslims and Christians and destroyed their property. According to the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI), there were more than 300 incidents of abuse targeting Christians during the year, compared with 177 in 2015. Incidents included assaults on missionaries, forced conversions of non-Hindus, and attacks on churches, schools, and private property. Administrators at some Muslim and Christian schools and graveyards denied their facilities to interreligious couples or their children. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reported 751 conflicts between religious communities, which resulted in 97 deaths and 2,264 injuries in 2015,” the report noted.

The report rapped India’s Hindu extremists who are bent on making cow slaughter by Muslims and Hindu Dalit criminals like Holocaust deniers.

Authorities often failed to prosecute violence by cow protection groups against persons, mostly Muslims, suspected of slaughtering or illegally transporting cows or trading in or consuming beef,” noted the report.

Kolkata-born British writer Supriyo Chatterjee wrote on India’s birthday: “Today 15 August 70 years ago, India became independent. Here are some facts and numbers on India you don’t see.”

Here are some of those facts and figures:

  1. While country is home to 101 billionaire, 55% of country’s 1.1 population lives below the poverty line.
  2. India’s defence budget for 2017 is an estimated $53.5 billion. It is the world’s largest arms importer. It buys three times as much arms from the international market as Pakistan and China, its neighbors and rivals, accounting for 14% of all arms imports globally from 2009-2013. The USA is the largest provider (40%), followed by the Russians (30%) and the French (14%). Israel provides 4% of the imports but is growing in importance. India spends 7% of its budget on defense but only 2.4% of GDP on health and less than 3% on education.
  3. 200 million people go hungry in India.
  4. 1.3 million Indian children die a year before their first birthday. 1.6 million children die every year before age of 5. 43.5% of all children under-fives are underweight. Infant mortality rate is 46.07 deaths/1,000 live births. Almost half of children drop out of school before 15 years of age.
  5. Maternal mortality rates are 200 deaths/100,000 live births.
  6. Only 46.9% of the total 246.6 million households have toilet facilities. Of the rest, 3.2% use public toilets while 49.8% ease themselves in the open. 32% of the households use treated water for drinking and 17% still fetch drinking water from a source located more than 500 metres in rural areas or 100 metres in urban centers.
  7. Unemployment stands officially at 9.8%, but the real figure is much higher.
  8. More than 135,000 road accident deaths are reported every year, most of them being cyclists and pedestrians.

India-US artist Priti Gulati Cox in her blog post says: “India, you will be celebrating your 70th year of Independence from British rule on August 15. All over the country all of you will be remembering the fallen, hoisting flags, and singing songs of freedom. Meanwhile in Indian-administered Kashmir — the largest militarized zone in the world — the Indian state and its military and paramilitary forces will continue to carry on with their sustained human rights abuses aimed at the regions indigenous population.”

114 Army Veterans slam Modi’s anti-Muslim campaign

On July 30, 2017, in an open letter to the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi 114 veterans of Indian Armed Forces condemned his government’s racist policies against Indian Muslims (150 million) and Dalit (180 million untouchable Hindus and Christian).

What is happening in our country today strikes at all that the Armed Forces, and indeed our Constitution, stand for. We are witness to unprecedented attacks on society at large by the relentless vigilantism of self-appointed protectors of Hinduism. We condemn the targeting of Muslims and Dalits. We condemn the clampdowns on free speech by attacks on media outlets, civil society groups, universities, journalists and scholars, through a campaign of branding them anti-national and unleashing violence against them while the State looks away. We can no longer look away. We would be doing a disservice to our country if we do not stand up and speak for the liberal and secular values that our Constitution espouses. Our diversity is our greatest strength. Dissent is not treason; in fact, it is the essence of democracy,” days the letter.

Indians belonging to all faiths (Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and Sikhism) are protesting all over India as part of the Not In My Name (watch a video below)campaign against lynching of Muslims and Dalits over consuming cow meat by anti-Muslim extremist Hindu groups known as Hindutva allied with the ruling party BJP.

The Dalit, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and Adivasi, which make more than 45% on India’s 1.2 billion population  – mostly consume beef. Mahatma Gandhi and Hindu historian Dr. D.N. Jha (Delhi University) has claimed that Hindu scriptures never banned eating beef and many of earlier Hindu religious leaders consumed beef and other meat products.

According to Indian sources, country’s 8 largest beef exporting companies are owned by Hindus. Indian government hopes to increase leather exports to US$9 billion by 2020 from its present level of US$5.85 billion.

In Modi’s home-state Gujarat, cow slaughter is now a non-bailable offense, punishable with life imprisonment, meaning that people who kill a cow will serve the same time as a murderer.

Indian Muslim community has always been victim of Hindu violence since the partition of British India in August 1947 which resulted in a Hindu-majority India and Muslim-majority Pakistan against the wishes of the Hindutva parties. However, the anti-Muslim violence has increased two-folds after the victory of BJP in 2014. In June 2017, the Mumbai-based Centre for Study of Society and Secularism (CSSS) and the UK-based Minority Rights Group International (MRG) released a joint report claiming that Modi party BJP stroke violence against Muslims.

Communal violence over the last five years has taken a huge toll on minorities, including Christians and Sikhs. But Muslims – who form 18 per cent of the country’s population – have borne the brunt of these hate crimes, such as lynching, threats, attacks on places of worship and forced conversion,” said the report.

In 2002, as chief minister of Gujarat state, Narendra Modi supervised the Hindu mobs which slaughtered over 2000 Muslims and rapped several hundred Muslim girls and women. Modi government accused Muslims for setting the Sabarmati Express to fire which resulted in the death of a dozen Hindu passengers. Justice Markandey Katju (a Kashmiri Brahmin), former judge at India’s Supreme Court, however, claimed that it’s a false flag operation by a right-wing Hindu organization. Justice Katju claimed that “the Godhra incident was planned in a precursory way to kill Hindus and find a reason to ignite communal riots in Gujarat.”

US author debunks Hindu lies about Mughal ruler

American history professor Audrey Truschke (Rutgers University, New Jersey) claims she has been target of Hindu extremists on social media since the release of her second book, Aurangzeb: The Man and The Myth, in February 2017.

Responding to her Hindu critics, she says she didn’t write the book for her critics or reviewers who dismiss her research on the basis of their hatred and distorted narratives of Muslim rule in Indian sub-continent for nearly 1000 years especially the last powerful and longest reigning Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

The Indian ruling BJP and its anti-Muslim bigots have long declared that Mughal rulers have no place in India’s history.

The other Muslim ruler who is hated the most by the Hindu-Fascists is Tipu Sultan also known as the Tiger of Mysore.

Audrey Truschke is not the first author to be chased by BJP and its Hindutva allies. The have declared India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru as a traitor and meat-eater for praising Mughal rulers in his 1946 memoir, The discovery of India.

US-born Canadian war reporter, journalist and author, Eric Margolis, in his 2000 book, War at the Top of the World, said: “When London was home to 15,000 ‘unwashed’ people – Muslim Mughals had created the greatest civilization in India.”

Aurangzeb, as a young prince lived a very lavish life – dinning in gold-dishes, enjoying music and served by dozens of servants. However, later influenced by some Sufi scholars he decided to fight the Deen-e-Iallahi (Allah’s religion) fitna created by his grandfather Emperor Akbar, the Great to please his Hindu Queen Jodha Bai (born 1542), a Rajput princess. The new religion became the religion of the royal court. It remained such during the periods of Emperors Jahangir and Shah Jahan who built the world-famous Taj Mahal in memory of his Queen Mumtaz Begum.

During the war of succession, prince Aurangzeb always maintained that he was not interested in Mughal throne but his only objective was to protect true Islam from the Deen-e-Iallahi fitna which was practiced by Crown Prince Dara Shukoh. When he was declared Emperor of India by the royal court on July 31, 1658, he declared that he wouldn’t take a single penny from the royal treasury. He fired all the royal servants and until his death on March 3, 1707, the Emperor of the richest country of the world lived on the sale of handwritten copies of Holy Qur’an and prayer caps. Aurangzeb’s wife Nawab Bai Ji (died 1691) used to cook food herself.

Anti-Muslim Hindu and Sikh writers and authors have accused Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir of destroying Hindu temples and Sikh Gurdawaras while both Christian and Jewish historians have not accused him of such religious discrimination. Yes, Aurangzeb did close-down some Hindu and Sikh worship places, an act against Islamic Shari’ah, but not on religious basis but because those places became breeding-grounds for anti-government rebels. Interestingly, the Mughal officials and soldiers involved in enforcing these acts had always been non-Muslims.

Aurangzeb donated land and cash to several Hindu and Sikh worship places such as the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India.

Aurangzeb’s royal court had more Hindu nobles than any other Mughal Emperor.
