US-Israel against Hamas joining PA Unity Government

Paranoid by the recent Egyptian-sponsored reconciliation talks between pro-US secularist Palestinian Fatah group ruling the West Bank and pro-Iran Islamic resistance Hamas ruling Gaza Strip – Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Donald Trump’s special envoy for Palestine-Israel peace talk Jason Dov Greenblatt that “Any Palestinian government must unambiguously and explicitly commit to nonviolence, recognize Israel as a Jewish state, distance itself from Iran and Hizbullah and accept previous agreements between Israel and Mahmoud Abbas.”

Jason Greenblatt, born into an Hungarian Jewish immigrant family, is chief legal officer to The Trump Organization, founded in 1923 by Trump’s grandparents. Greenblatt studied in a Jewish religious seminary, a yeshiva, in a West Bank settlement. He met PA leader Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah in March 2017 but refused to meet Hamas officials.

Greenblatt who landed in Cairo on Thursday – thanked Egyptian military dictator Gen. al-Sisi for sponsoring the Fatah-Hamas reconciliation talks. According to White House statement, Greenblatt said that US will co-operate with Egypt to “help facilitate an enduring peace between the Israelis and Palestinians.”

On Thursday, Greenblatt in an official statement on Fatah-Hamas reconciliation talks in Gaza, repeating Netanyahu’s above ‘red-line’.

In response to Greenblatt’s rant, Hamas issued a statement on Thursday rejecting demands by the Trump administration and its one-sided support for the Zionist entity. It accused Greenblatt of interfering in Palestinian Authority’s internal affairs and trying to sabotage the reconciliation efforts.

In August 2017, Greenblatt visited Israel-Gaza border. He urged Palestinian Authority to re-establish it control over Gaza Strip.

It is clear that the Palestinian Authority needs to resume its role in the administration of Gaza, as Hamas has substantially harmed the people of Gaza and has failed to meet their most basic needs,” Greenblatt said.

On the contrary, Israeli vice prime minister Shaul Mofaz is in favor of talks with Fatah-Hamas unity government. “Two nations (Jews and Palestinian) living in one state much longer would constitute a larger threat than a nuclear-armed Iran,” he said.

The Zionist-controlled West and its Muslim puppets ruling the Muslim majority countries don’t want to see an Islamic-oriented democratic state in the historic Palestine. The day Hamas agreed to disarm itself, that would be the beginning of the end of Palestinians dream of recovering their ancestral land from the foreign Jews.

Personally, I believe unless nine million Palestinian living inside occupied Palestine and in Diaspora come to realization that no foreign occupier in history has handed over it colonial prize without armed resistance by the local population or as result of bankruptcy of the colonial power. Once they realized that historic fact, they will start differentiating between their friends and foes among their leaders, Arab and Muslim rulers.

The first Muslim leader who supported an independent Palestinian state over British Mandate Palestine, was Father of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who told Mufti Amin al-Husseini in Cairo in 1946 that Muslims in Indian sub-continent would never accept Jewish occupation of Muslim Palestine.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary leader Imam Khomeini was the second Muslim leader who enshrined Iran’s support for the liberation of Palestine in country’s Constitution in 1981. None of Arab leaders; from Egyptian Gamal Nasser to King Salman of Saudi Arabia has supported Palestinian cause in practice or in public.
