“Malawians love Jews and Israel,” Bisnowaty told Barney Breen-Portnoy while in New York as part of Malawi delegation to UN General Assembly meeting.
I’m sure Bisnowaty didn’t mean the 27% of country’s Muslim population who support Palestinians.
“Malawi has always had very strong ties with Israel, even during the regime of dictator Hastings Kamuzu Banda (1963 – 1993). Israel was the first country to send doctors and agricultural people to Malawi unconditionally,” Bisnowaty said.
Dr. Banda created the Malawi Young Pioneers (MYP) militia in 1963 to fight British colonial power. “From the late 1960s to the early 1970s, the Pioneers received military, intelligence and espionage training in Taiwan and Israel, in addition to “technical subjects” studied in Denmark, West Germany, the United States and Britain. This came at a time when Dr. Banda was becoming increasingly autocratic and dangerously repressive. The MYP’s training in intelligence and espionage became handy the maintenance of Dr. Banda’s personal dictatorship, being used to suppress anti-Banda elements within the country, and to monitor the infiltration of “communist elements,” wrote professor Wiseman Chijere Chirwa (Chancellor College, University of Malawi).
During the 1960s, the Zionist entity was able to establish diplomatic and trade relations with almost every African country ruled by the British, French, Dutch and Portuguese colonists. After Israel’s 1973 war, all Sub-Saharan nations except Malawi, Lesotho, and Swaziland severed diplomatic ties with the Zionist entity. Since the 1980s, however, diplomatic relations with Sub-Saharan countries have been gradually renewed after Egypt and Jordan established diplomatic relations with Israel.
Benjamin Netanyahu visited Malawi in July 2016 along with Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. Uganda’s Daily Monitor news portal reports that as part of his plans, Netanyahu would actively seek to woo Africa to end decades of hostility and convince African countries to stop voting against Israel at the United Nations.
Malawi, a former British African colony with 11 million population, is predominantly Christian (70%). The Christian religious establishment in Malawi is as morally corrupt as it’s in most Western countries. For example, on Wednesday, police arrested Rev. Francis Ngalande, a Malawian Catholic priest for raping a 16-year-old school girl, whose education expenses were paid by Ngalande.
After completing his education in the Zionist entity and serving in Israel Occupation Force (IOF), Bisnowaty decided to immigrate to some better place to start a business. He chose apartheid South Africa. But after demise of the apartheid regime in 1994 – anti-Israel Nelson Mandela became the first Black president. Then Bisnowaty decided to settled in Israel’s staunch African ally – Malawi.
Malawian Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Allan Chiyembekeza visited the Islamic Republic in August 2014.
Malawi government claimed in 2014, the existence of gold, platinum, uranium, rare earth minerals, iron, copper, coal, oil, gas, diamonds and other gemstones deposits. Malawi has just one large-scale mining operation, Kayelekera Uranium, run by Australia’s Paladin Energy.
