As result of Hillary Clinton’s bout of pneumonia at a 9/11 memorial service – Netanyahu has rushed to accept a $38 billions military aid offered by America’s first Jewish president on September 13, 2016.
Netanyahu had previously demanded $45 billions military aid and expressed willingness to wait for the US elections before signing the deal, but suddenly reversed his threat and agreed to accept Obama’s lower offer.
The landmark agreement between Obama administration and Netanyahu’ apartheid government is the biggest pledge of US military aid to a foreign country in American history.
The White House offer for an increase in military aid to Israel, from current $3.1 billions to $4.5 billions per year has enjoyed strong support from the Zionists-occupied Congress. In April, 83 US Senators – 51 Republicans and 32 Democrats – sent a letter to the White House urging an increase in military aid and financial support. The effort was spearheaded by South Carolina Republican Israel-First Christian Zionist Sen. Lindsey Graham and Delaware Democrat Sen. Chris Coons (Jewish).
“In light of Israel’s dramatically rising defense challenges, we stand ready to support a substantially enhanced new long-term agreement to help provide Israel the resources it requires to defend itself and preserve its qualitative military edge,” the letter said.
On Tuesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham described the military aid increase not enough for Israel to defend itself from Iran, Hizbullah and Hamas.
Maj. Gen. Gershon Hacohen, former head of Israel War Colleges and commander of Israel’s Northern Corps, said the Israeli government should welcome gradual reductions, rather than increases, in US military grant aid. He insisted that US aid harm and corrupt Israel’s military establishment.
Last month, Washington-based Institute for Research Middle Eastern Policy sued Obama administration over military aid to Israel.
“This lawsuit is not about foreign policy. It is about the rule of law, presidential power, the structural limits of the U.S. Constitution, and the right of the public to understand the functions of government and informed petition of the government for redress,” stated the complaint filed By Grant F. Smith, Director of the Institute for Research: Middle East Policy (IRmep).
On September 13, 2016, ex-CIA official Dr. Philip Giraldi in an article said that Israel Wins in November: It doesn’t matter who is elected – the pilgrimages to worship at the feet of Benjamin Netanyahu will continue, bringing to mind Patrick Buchanan’s apt description of a shameless and corrupted congress as Israeli occupied territory. Indeed.
