On March 17, 2016, 400 members of the National Council of Jewish Women marched from the US Supreme Court to the Capitol Hill. They carried copies of US Constitution and delivered them to Senate Judiciary chairman Chuck Grassley, an Israeli poodle urging him to fulfill his constitutional obligation to hold hearing and a vote on Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland to US Supreme Court.
On March 28, Nancy K. Kaufman, CEO of the National Council of Jewish Women who lead the march wrote in Op-Ed at the Jewish Week: “We know a full Supreme Court – and judicial system that works as our founders designed – is imperative to our democracy, and should not be delayed for political gain. Delaying the filling of this vacancy is paramount to delaying justice to millions of people.”
Frankly, I have no intention of wasting my time proving to Ms Kaufman that United States is neither a democracy or a republic. A 2014 study jointly conducted by Princeton and Northwestern universities concluded that United States is run by oligarchs (mostly Jewish), and powerful lobby groups through mainstream media.
US-born American anti-war activist, Dr. Dahlia Wasfi MD, on the other hand, claims the US is under Israeli occupation.
On March 26, professor James Petras posted an article, entitled, The Rise of the Jewish Elite: Meritocracy, Myth and Power.
“Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court marks a continuation and deepening of the lopsided ethno-religious representation in the US judicial system. If Garland is appointed, Jewish justices will comprise 45% of the Court, even though they represent less than 2% of the overall population,” James Petras said. Justice Garland is to fulfill the 9th slot at the Court vacated by late Justice Antonin Scalia.
