British author Salman Rushdie, 68, doesn’t need any introduction if you’re duped by West’s so-called ‘freedom of speech’ to insult anything you want except Holocaust and Israel. However, I bet you never heard that American academic, writer, author and radio talk-show host, Keven Barrett, PhD, has a dog named Salman Rushdie, and for some good reasons.
Rushdie’s ex-Hindu wife Padma Lakshmi (23 year younger than Rushdie) for three years (2004-2007) has just released her new memoir, Love, Loss and What We Ate. The book read like Jewish Playboy magazine full of Rushdie’s sex obsession.
Lakshmi, 45, actress, model, and one of the judges on the US television show Top Chef, chronicles details of her relationship with the Mumbai-born Rushdie. She was Rushdie fourth wife. Since 2008, Sir Rushdie is rumored to hooked-up with Indian actress and model Riya Sen, 35. That makes three Christians and two Hindus.
Lakshmi after her divorce in 2007, became involved with Jewish-American billionaire and a blind supporter of Israel, Ted Forstmann, who died in 2011 aged 71.
“Rushdie needed consoling every year he did not win the Nobel Prize, and our marriage was marred by jealousy and insecurity. Rushdie needed constant care and feeding – not to mention frequent sex. Rushdie was insensitive to a medical condition that made intercourse painful for me,” says Lakshmi.
When Lakshmi started devoting more time to her profession, he felt sidelined. “I just wanted to also do something else on my own. I just wanted my own identity,” she said.
Rushdie called her “a bad investment” after she refused his sexual advances. Padma paints Rushdie as a cold and heartless husband. Both met in 1999, and began an affair while Rushdie was still married to his third wife Elizabeth West.
In March 2006, when the Jewish Newsweek put Lakshmi on its cover illustrating a story about the New India. The envious Rushdie snorted that “the only time Newsweek put me on their cover was when someone was trying to put a bullet in my head,” she says. And, each year when the Nobel Prize went to another writer, Rushdie took it hard. Padma would have to console him.
She claims Rushdie is a “thoughtless” and “randy old goat”.
Salman Rushdie calls Zionist Jew Christopher Hitchens (died 2011), as one of his mentors.
