Remember the Syrian chemical weapons and Iran’s non-existing nukes, which Benjamin Netanyahu insisted for decades as ‘existential threat’ to the Zionist entity and the Jews.
Well, on January 18, 2016, Israeli’s military chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot assured paranoid Israeli leaders that thanks to Obama administration, both threat have been neutralized – and Israel has once again, re-established itself as a super-power in the region.
Eisenkot was speaking at the 9th annual conference at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) in Tel Aviv.
Eisenkot said there were two existential threats to Israel, and both are currently declining. One was the threat of nonconventional weaponry, including both Iran’s nuclear program and Syrian chemical weapons.
First, he said Israel faces no existential threats right now, because Obama’s Iran nuclear deal has removed the greatest threat to Israel’s existence.
As for the Iranian nuclear agreement, he said it is a strategic turning point that includes many risks but also opportunities.
However, in order to continue receiving $3-5 billion annual military aid, Eisenkot invented new threats to Israel. He claimed that though Hizbullah and Hamas don’t pose an existential threat to Israel, they’re major threats to Israeli Jews. And since Iran supports those two groups, the anti-Iran propaganda war must goes on.
The so-called “existential threat” to the Zionist entity is not a recent lie. It started in 1995 by the former Jewish terrorist leader turned Israel’s prime minister Yitzhak Rabin. On January 5, 1995, Chris Hedges wrote at the Jew York Times: “The date by which Iran will have nuclear weapons is no longer 10 years from now,” a senior official said recently, referring to previous estimates. “If the Iranians maintain this intensive effort to get everything they need, they could have all their components in two years. Then it will be just a matter of technology and research. If Iran is not interrupted in this program by some foreign power, it will have the device in more or less five years.”
Never mind, like Saddam Hussein’s phony dozens of nukes aimed at Israel, even Israel’s intelligence agencies now claim that Iran is not in possession of a nuke so far.
Last month, Shane Bauer, one of the three convicted American Jew hikers in 2009 – slammed Senators Hillary Clinton, John McCain and Lindsey Graham for calling for new sanctions against Iran. Bauer was sentenced to 7-year in jail for spying for Israel. But after serving only three years in jail were pardoned by then president Dr. Ahmadinejad. Bayer who is a senior reporter at Mother Jones, called their anti-Iran campaign “totally irresponsible” and accused them of constantly inflaming tensions with the Islamic Republic.
