While the modern-day Mordechais are pounding the besieged 1.7 million Gazans with missiles on daily basis – the Jewish leaders in the US, Canada and some European countries are urging their fellow Jews and Zionist Christians to defend the rights of gay and lesbian communities in Russia, Uganda, Nigeria and other Christian- majority African nations.
“Today one of the most important ways to combat the oppression of others is to work against the terrible wave of homophobia that is oppressing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in several African countries,” Barney Frank, former Jewish gay congressman from Massachusetts, posted at AJWS website on March 14, 2014.
“At Purim, we remember the story of a small group of people rising up to defend themselves after being demonized, abused and threatened with annihilation by Haman, the evil Persian minister,” adds Frank.
Barney Frank, who was endorsed by J Street PAC, was against US invasion of Iraq and has got into trouble somtimes for criticizing Israeli policies. He supports two-state solution to Jewish occupation of Palestine. He has been critical of the practice common in Washington which labels anyone critical of Israel as not being “pro-Israel,” such as when he told Congress the following in February 2005:
“Criticism of specific policies of any Israeli Government, at any given time, in no way implies that someone is anti-Israel, much less anti-Semitic. Indeed, if people want to hear at any given time, vigorous, even virulent criticisms of the Israeli Government in power, go to the Knesset, go to Israel. There is certainly nothing remotely anti-Israel about being critical, any more than my saying that I deplore the Iraq War and I feel every day that I was right to vote against it. I do not think that makes me anti-American. And I do not think it makes me anti-Israel to say that some aspects of the occupation were wrong.”
However, last month, Frank slammed John Kerry over Israeli boycott warning.
Barney Frank married his longtime gay pratner Jim Ready on July 7, 2012. The marriage ceremony was attended by Israel-Firsters, Governor Deval Patrick, House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, and Reps. Al Green of Texas and Jim McGovern of Massachusetts.
Jewish Esther (Hadassah) has inspired many sex-maniac Christian leaders. For example, US presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, told Jewish Vanity Fair magazine that Esther is her role model – and she often choose the Book of Esther as bedtime reading for her daughter Piper.
Israel’s Justice Minister, Tzipi Livni, who is leading the Israeli negotiating team at John Kerry’s sponsored Israel-Fatah peace deal, has claimed that she had sex with Mahmoud Abbas’ two negotiators, Saeb Erekat and Yasser Abed Rabbo.
On February 28, 2014, Israeli daily YNet reported that Queen Esther’s story is a source of inspiration for France’s Jewish LGBT community.
