Pat. Buchanan: ‘No war on Syria for Israel’

On February 28, 2014, Patrick J. Buchanan, a fundamentalist Christian writer and pro-White politician, wrote a post on his blog, entitled ‘Intervene? Or End Syrian War?, in which he said that Jewish Lobby which is crying for American military intervention (no fly zone or military boots) in Syria on the so-called “moral obligation” – is not good for the US interests in the region. He also said that since Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states are calling for American intervention in Syria – shouldn’t they be sending their armies as part of their “moral obligations” to invade Syria.

And if there is a “moral” obligation to intervene, why does it not apply to Israel and Turkey, Syria’s nearest neighbors? Why does that moral duty not apply to the European Union, upon whose doorstep Syria sits? Why is it America’s moral obligation, 5,000 miles away?,” asks Buchanan.

It is not. The Turks, Israelis, EU and Gulf Arabs who hate Assad would simply like for us to come and fight their war for them,” Buchanan replies his own question.

Buchanan adds that Al-Qaeda, al-Nusra Front, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, which are all anti-American are being armed and trained by American allies in the Middle East. “And who is keeping these enemies of ours out of Damascus? Assad, Hezbollah, Iran and our old friend Vladimir Putin,” says Buchanan.

On September 3, 2013, Adrian Salbuchi, an Argentinean investigative journalist posted an article, entitled ‘Israel: The Missing Link in the Syrian Puzzle‘, claiming that Israel and its powerful American lobbyists are pushing Barack Obama to open a new war front for Israel in the Middle East.

Ever since the two Gulf wars, America has been fighting Israelis’ wars for them. In the case of the 2003 invasion and destruction of Iraq, this was so obvious that the very same NeoCons who in 1996-7 planned war against Iraq in their “Project for a New American Century (PNAC)” think-tank – Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Bush, Douglas Feith, David Wormser and others – would later execute that war in 2003 as top officers in the George W. Bush regime. The prime reason: Saddam Hussein was then the greatest threat to “democratic and favored ally” Israel. So, the Iraq War was to a great extent a proxy war that only benefitted Israel, becoming a huge headache for America, which lost thousands of its sons,” said Salbuchi.

The excessive and overpowering role that Zionism plays in American politics, American finance, American universities, American mainstream media including it Hollywood “entertainment industry,” and over American foreign policy, has been all but proven. This vital issue today lies at the heart of an increasingly far-reaching debate among America’s intelligentsia, which is, of course, being hushed up by the mainstream media,” said Salbuchi.

President Barack Obama’s problem right now is that America’s military establishment is very much aware of the stakes involved in any “preventive attack” against Syria and, much more importantly, against Iran.  Intervention against either or both countries will undoubtedly lead to massive war in the Middle East,” said Salbuchi.

On September 7, 2013, Alcibiades Bilzerian, a Brazilian journalist and writer posted an article; entitled Syria Is Just Another War For Israel.

The supposed pretext for war in Syria is based on a combination of humanitarian grounds and national security interests, but the ones campaigning for this war didn’t seem to care about past atrocities committed in Africa, nor did they care about the maniacal leader of North Korea threatening nuclear war, nor did they care about Israeli war crimes committed in Palestine. The Israel lobby couldn’t care less about the Syrian people or America’s national security; it’s all about destabilizing Israel’s enemies and hurting Iran. The Israel lobby was chiefly responsible for America’s disastrous decision to invade Iraq, and it was Israel’s purposefully false intelligence reports that the heavily-Jewish Bush administration used as a pretext for war. Jewish leaders such as ADL Chief Abe Foxman are drawing parallels to the holocaust as an excuse to attack Syria. But where was Foxman to draw these parallels when far greater numbers of Africans were being killed in Rwanda? He didn’t care about those people because polls show that the majority of Israelis are racists who have nothing but disdain for Africans/Arabs living in Israel,” wrote Bilzerian.

Last month, Al-Monitor, an Israeli propaganda website, published Israeli journalist Ben Caspit’s assessment on Syria’s 3-year-old bloodshed; “Israeli forces estimate that the Syrian war may last a decade, ending with Syria being divided into several cantons, with jihadist forces (supported by the US and its regional allies) on the Israeli border and Hizbullah gaining military experience (to be used against the Jewish army in the next encounter).”

  1. Pat Buchanan is not “a fundamentalist Christian writer,” he is Catholic. Unless that’s what you call Catholics… He is most notably a political atavism, if you will, a remnant of the American Right (Republican party/conservatism) that no longer exists, having been taken over by neocons and kosherized.

    • Fundamentally, Catholics are the Christians – 1.1 billion out of 1.6 billion world’s Christian population. Following Buchanan’s writing for years – I consider him an ‘Islamophobe’ and racist to non-White minorities in the United States. Buchanan supported Gen. Boykin claim that his Lord Christ (God) was more powerful than Muslims’ Allah.

Pat Buchanan has also written that Muslim immigrants pose a great threat to western civilization through Islamic Shari’ah and terrorism. I challenged his bigotry on his blog a few years ago – but he kept parroting Daniel Pipes’ narrative of Islam.

  2. Buchanan is an old-time Republican opposed to:
    — sizable immigration of non-white/non-christians into the US pushed by the Jewish “multiculturalist” agenda
    — Jewish power and involvement of the US in Jewish wars
    — cultural marxism
His ilk has been rendered obsolete by the takeover of the Right by the neocons and only became visible again with the rise of the Tea Party.
He is not a fundamentalist but his Catholicism is tinged with the Regensburg address type of Islamophobia, mostly arising out of his nationalist stance, threatened by the minority status into which whites are sliding in the US.
Boykin is just a redneck racist and bigot.
