Dark Israeli clouds over Lebanon

“Hezbollah is valuable to Iran, but Iranians have also begun to grumble about the financial and political costs of supporting the Lebanese militia. Hezbollah’s fate now depends more on Lebanese politics and tensions with Israel than on Iran. Hezbollah will be a major component in any conflict involving Iran. Yet its participation may not be automatic. Hezbollah will weigh domestic considerations, including a war’s impact on the Shiite community.” – Emile Hokayem, International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS – aka Israeli Hasbara think tank).

“During US Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, John Kerrey’s recent swing through the region he warned Lebanese and Syrian officials that Israel could attack at any time. But he also carried the message to Israel that Washington does not want an Israeli attack on Lebanon or on Iran for precisely the same reasons. Israel can’t win Washington increasingly believes and the risk of regional conflagration from either is too great'” – Franklin Lamb PhD, November 27, 2010.

Israeli Defense Minister, Barack Ehud, claimed on Tuesday that STL indictment will “not effect Israel”. His adviser, on the other hand, has said that Tel Aviv is monitoring Hizbullah activities closely – in case being indicted in the 2005 assassination of the former Lebanese Prime minister, Rafik Hariri, decide to stage a military coup against government in Beirut and attack Israel. Last month, the chief of the Jewish Army, Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi during his visit to Tel Hashomer military recruiting center, said that the army is ready for any such attack. Military analyst in Israel believe that Lebanese army is too week to face Hizbullah fighers (how could it when 30,000 Jewish soldiers failed to perform that miracle during their 34-day invasion of Lebanon in Summer 2006!).

These allegations by coward Zionists are so ridiculous that I almost fall from my chair laughing. Only an idiot would expect a shrewed military strategic like Sheikh Nasrallh to order a regime-change in Beirut which will certainly provide an excuse to Israeli poodle in the White house to attack Lebanon before attacking the Islamic Republic in the near future.

The Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is an illegitimate child of United Nations as was the Zionist entity in 1948. The western powers played the part of midwife for the STL to shield the the Israeli criminals. Like in 1948 – Israel’s supporters the US, Britain and France. Zionist Jew, Jeffrey Feltman, the assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern Affairs, paid a visit to Lebanon shortly after Ahmadinejad received the hero welcome in October 2010. He promised to compensate for the US$10 million Beirut cancelled to contribute to STL operation. Most Lebanese law-makers question the entire legality of the STL, which was approved by the government of then-prime minister Fouad al-Siniora, and not put forward to the Lebanese parliament.

Furthermore, the STL enquiry refuses even to consider Israeli involvement in the assassination of Rafik Hariri (as is in the case of JFK), though Israel has a proven record of assassination of foreign leaders. For example, in 1970s, a commando force of Israeli troops, headed by Ehud Barak dressed as a brunette women, entered Beirut by boat and was alleged to have killed several senior Palestinian leaders.

While western media have announced that indictments against Hezbollah will be issued shortly by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Russian magazine Odnako challenges the entire UN investigation. French polical analyst Thierry Meyssan posits that the weapon used to assassinate former Prime Minister Rafik Hairiri was supplied by Germany. Former German prosecutor and first commissioner in charge of the UN probe, Detlev Mehlis, seemingly doctored evidence to cover up his country’s involvement. These revelations embarrass the Tribunal and reverse the tide in Lebanon.
