International Day of Nowruz

On February 23, 2010 – the UN General Assembly recognized March 21 as the ‘UN International Day of Nowruz’ begining this year. In his first meaasage on the Nowruz (Persian Spring Festival or the begining of a New Year), UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, said: “These rituals, from repainting homes to visiting friends to preparing symbolic meals, are infused with a spirit of renewal and can inspire not only those conducting them but all people.”

Iran’s Spiritual Leader, Ayatullah Ali Khamenei, has named the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) as the year of Double ambition, Double endeavor and has hoped that the great Iranian nation and officials close more to their goals through more ambition and work”.

US president Barack Obama too sent a typped message on the Nowruz festival but it contained his administrations’ known hypocisy towards Islamic State as dictated by the interests of the Zionist entity’s colonial agenda in the Middle East: “You (the leaders of Islamic regime), too, have a choice. The United States wants the Islamic Republic of Iran to take its rightful place in the community of nations. You have that right. .. But it comes with the real responsiblities, and that place cannot be reached through terror or arms, but rather through peacful actions that demonstrate the true greatness of Iranian people and civilization. And the measure of that greatness is not the capacity to destroy, it is your demonstrated ability to build and create”. What a great advice coming from the leader of a nation, whose own prominent Jewish scholar and citizen, Dr. Noam Chomsky, said: “America a leading terrorist state in the world”.

Some of the readers may remember how Sen. Barack Obama lied, for the pleasure of the Jewish Lobby, during his presidential campaign about his non-existent uncle being among the US soldiers who liberated the Jews in the Auschwitz Nazi labor camp at the end of the WW II (watch the video at the bottom of this post). The only problem is that liberators of the camp were not the American soldiers but the communist inmates.

The festival of Nowruz has been celebrated for millinnia by people in Persia, Balkans, Middle East, Caucacus, Black Sea Basin and Central Asia. This year, over 300 million people of many faiths around the world will be celebrating Nowruz begining on March 21 – the day of the vernal equinox.
