Before the Dawn of Islam – the most of the known world was divided into several countries, which prided themselves on tribalism, land, language and even color of their skin. Islamic fiath, which commands total loyalty to Allah and His Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) rather than tribalism or nationality – has become a great threat to the world order for the last 1400 years.
Muslim brotherhood (Ummah) based on Faith – is one of the main pillar of Islam, as revealed in Holy Qur’an (9:23-24): “Say, If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger, and striving hard and fighting in His Cause (Jihad), then wait until Allah brings about His decision (torment). And Allah guides not the people who are Al-Fasiqun (Evildoers).”
Both earlier Abrahamic religions (Judaism and Christianity) were national or tribal religions. Biblical prophets like Moses, David, Solomon, John the Baptist, and Jesus – all proclaimed that they have come to only the ‘Children of Israel’ – a tribal cult based around the descendants of 12 sons of prophet Jacob aka Israel. However, later on these Israelites took the common name “Jews” – either after Judah, the eldest son of prophet Jacob or after King David’s kingdom of Judea & Samara. However, the common Abrahamic roots have not convinced Jews to accept Jesus (as) as the promised Hebrew Messiah. Holy Qur’an, proclaims itsel the continuation and completion of all the earlier Revelations – in order to make Allah’s message Universal. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) never claimed to be sent only for the Arabs (more than 75% of world’s 1.7 billion Muslims happen to be non-Arabs).
Holy Qur’an also confirms the Divine messages revealed to prophet Moses (as) and Jesus (as) – and accepts the followers of Moses’ Law (Torah) and Jesus’ Gospel (Ingil) as the “People of Book”. In order to confirm Islamic social bond with the earlier two Abrahamic religions – the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married two Jewish women belonging to Jewish nobility and one Christian slave girl presented to him by the Christian King of Egypt. However, all this did not stop Jewish elites, who controlled most of Arab trade and usury business, from conspiring against the Prophet (pbuh) and Muslims in the future. These Jewish elites poisoned the Prophet (pbuh), not once but twice.
History shows that Muslim rulers always preferred Jewish elites over their Christian subjects. In 636, the second Caliph of Islam, Omar (ra), took-over the site of the Jewish Temple of Solomon (Temple of Mount), which was used as a city garbage dump by local Christians and gave it to the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, who for this great generosity, called him “the promised Jewish Messiah”.
Since the time of the Prophet (pbuh), all major non-Muslim communities lived as autonomous communities within Muslim states. Their religious, criminal, and social affairs were handled by separate courts – mostly presided over by Chief Rabbi or a Bishop. Non-Muslims were even exempted from military service in return for Jayzia (Dhimmy tax) – which was much less than the 2.5% Zakat Muslims were required to pay annually – even while required to serve in military to defend the country. Both taxes are to be paid on ones’ extra income over the Nasab (money needed to live a comfortable family life). The non-Muslims, who agreed to fight in the war to defend the Muslim country in which they lived or were living below the poverty-line – were exempted from the Jayzia.
When Arab Muslim army liberated Spanish Jews from the Church slavery in 711 CE – they gave the agricultural land on which the Jews worked as Serf (slaves) for Christian landlords; allowed them to attend state-funded free-schools and universities and to start their own businesses. The result was that within first 100 year of Muslim rule in Spain – the Jews replaced the Christian upper-class and even surpassed some Muslims in trade and governance. The Ottomans in Turkey carried out a similar Muslim tolerance toward its Jew and Christian subjects – as confirmed by Avigdor Levi in his book The Structure of Jewish Community. The Jewish community in alliance with Crypto-Jews became very powerful in last century of Ottoman empire. In 1896 CE, when Sultan Abdul Hamid refused to meet Theodor Herzl during later’s trip to Constantinople and rejected World Jewish Congress’ offer to negotiate the sale of Palestine in return for paying-off tens of millions of pounds to resolve Turkey’s debt crisis – they brought down the empire through their agents, who had infiltrated the Young Turk Movement. Later, these agents carried out their racism by committing Armenian Christian genocide – which Jewish lobbing group ADL’s president Abraham Foxman still refuses to accept.
Professor T.W. Arnold in his book, Preaching of Islam, wrote: “When the Muslim army reached the valley of Jordan and Abu Ubaidah pitched his camp at Fhil, the Christian inhabitants of the country wrote to the Arabs saying: “O’ Muslims, we prefer you to Byzentines, though they’re of our own faith, because you keep better faith with us, and your rule over us is better than theirs, for they have robbed us of our goods and our homes …”
Karen Armstrong in The Curse of the Infidel (Guardian, June 20, 2002) wrote: “In the Islamic empire, Jews, Christian and Zoroarastrians enjoyed religious freedom. This reflected the teachings of the Qur’an which is a pluralistic scripture, affirmative of other traditions. Muslims are commanded by God to respect the People of Book, and reminded that they share the same belief and same God.”
Dr. Bernard Lewis, the most anti-Arab Jew Orientalist – in his book Semites and Anti-Semites is not ashamed to admit: “The Muslim world could not escape the impact of modernization and urbanization since the mid 19th century. Eposure to European traditions lead to the emergence of Muslim nationalism. The political dynamics of the early 20th century were characterized by the rise of Arab nationalism and its confrontation with the penetration of West in alliance with the emergence of nationalist Zionism at the heart of Hub of Islam. Moreover, the growing European influence introduced the Arab World to the European traditional anti-Jewishness literature and conceptualizations – from the Blood Libel to The Protocols of Elders of Zion.
Islam is against vanity and being ‘chosen’ on account of ones family or race, which are manifest of acute racism. The Prophet’s (pbuh) advice to his beloved daughter, Fatima (ra), the great-grand mother of Shia Imams – is the ultimate proof of any such superiority: “O’ Fatima never let it cross your mind that you will enter the Heavens because you’re daughter of Muhammad. You will be judged by Allah on the Day of Judgment based on your good deeds in this life, just as any other human.”
Nationalism is one of the major tools used by anti-Islam forces to keep the Muslim world divided. The Shia-Sunni divide is part of Zionists’ strategy. Holy Qur’an has made the Unity among Muslims of different ‘School of Thoughts’ as Fard (a Command which if disobyed – becomes a great sin).
