Iran’s President-elect Sheikh Hassan Rouhani while attending a million march rally on International Quds Day in Tehran on Friday, told reporters “in our region, under the shadow of occupation of the land of Palestine and the dear Quds, there’s been a wound for years on the body of the Islam world and this (day) reminds that Muslim people will not forget their historic right and will resist against oppression and aggression“.
The Zionist-controlled media, as usual, distorted Iranian leader’s statement in Persian by claiming that Rouhani called Israel a “cancer” in the region. Netanyahu took this golden opportunity to blast Iran’s nuclear program being “existential threat” to Israel.
“This statement should awaken the world from the illusion some have taken to entertaining since the election in Iran,” Netanyahu said in a statement. “The president (Ahmadinejad) was replaced but the goal of the regime remain obtaining nuclear weapons to threaten Israel, the Middle East and the safety of the world. A country which threatens to destroy Israel must not have weapons of mass destruction.”
“Rouhani has revealed his true face sooner than expected,” Bibi added.
Netanyahu’s office late Friday removed prime miniter’s anti-Rouhani rant from Twitter and told BBC that Netanyahu’s reaction was based on an erroneous translation.
“A number of pro-Israel (Jewish) groups that had attacked Rouhani in social media based on the misstatement including the AIPAC, AJC and the Israel Project, did not retract their attack by midday Friday. One group AJC-affiliated UN Watch corrected its statement,” reported Jewish Telegraph Agency (JTA) on August 2, 2013.
“Netanyahu’s blast could be seen as being at US President Obama and a number of US lawmakers who have said Rouhani’s expressed willingness to make Iran’s nuclear program more transparent should be tested,” say JTA.
Last month, Netanyahu aka ‘rubber-mouth’, called Rouhani a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The outgoing Iranian president Dr. Mamoud Ahmadinejad, as usual, was not affraid to speak his mind at the Quds rally. He said that soon a typhoon will take out the roots of Zionism from Palestine.

Israel is the only state in the Middle East which has a stockpile of 240-400 nuclear bombs. It refuses to sign NPT or attend UN-US sponsored conference on a nuclear-free Middle East. Israel is the only nuclear power which has threatened with nuclear weapons not only its regional neighbors but some European nations too.
Paul Craig Robert, former Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury for Economic Policy in the Reagan Administration, along with American Jewish scholar Noam Chomsky, has called both United Sates and the Zionist entity, the gratest threat on earth.
