The second conference on Hollywoodism and Cinema was held as part of Tehran Fajr International Film Festival (February 1-11, 2012). The conference was attended by a group of foreign particpants including actor and documentary filmmaker Sean Stone, authors Tom Pollard (The Hollywood War Machine), Webster Tarpley (9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA) and independent film-maker and author professor Danny Schechter (Blogothon and Occupy: Dissecting Occupy Wall Street), American Rabbi Arnold Leon Cohen and many others. The conference was addressed by Iranian President Dr. Ahmadinejad. Both Rabbi Arnold Leon Cohen and Tom Pollard spoke on the influence of the Zionist regime on Hollywood.
On December 19, 2008 – Joel Stein wrote in Las Angeles Times: “As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishment. Yes, we control Hollywood. Without us, you’d be flipping between “The 700 Club” and “Davey and Goliath” on TV all day.”
To prove Tom Pollard’s view that Hollywood is controlled by pro-Israel Zionists – Israel-Firster Hollywood actor George Clooney has produced an anti-Iran political movie, Argo. Clooney along with 15 American Jewish groups played a major role in the breakup of Africa’s largest and oil-rich country, Sudan.
The movie Argo is based on the old propaganda story about Iranian students’ occupation of US embassy building (spies nest) in Tehran immediately after the 1979 Islamic Revolution which changed Iran from a US-Israel lapdog into region’s most independent and powerful nation. The students kept 52 American diplomats and staff under house arrest for 444 days. During the seige, six Americans were smuggled out of Iran – not by some American ‘Superman’ – but by Canada’s ambassador in Tehran, Kenneth Taylor. Professor Robert Wright (Trent University, Canada) in his book ‘Our man in Tehran‘ has claimed that Kenneth Taylor was in fact the ‘CIA Station Chief’ in Iran.
“Ken actively spied for the Americans and helped them to stage the failed armed incursion (Operation Eagle Claw) in Islamic Iran,”wrote Professor Wright.
However, as expected from a Zionist controlled Hollywood – movie is all about Americans’ brilliance and Iranians’ stupidity, Judeo-Christian good guys against Muslim bad guys – a classic made in the anti-Muslim Hollywood commercial movie formula.
On June 19, 2012 – Dr. Danny Schechter (listed among the 8,000 ‘Self-Hating, Israel-Threatening Jews’ – S.H.I.T.) posted an article, entitled ‘Hollywood’s New Hostage Thriller Will Stir Hatred for Iran‘ on his blog Newsdissector.
As it happens, when I was in Tehran I visited the former US Embassy and write about my impressions in a new book, Blogothon. It is now a museum with a well-preserved group of offices, safeguarding the equipment used by the CIA for surveillance and espionage.
The Iranians had denounced the building as a “spy nest” well before the students took it over but even they didn’t know how right they were or its real covert action focus until they saw it for themselves.
US Embassy security tried to destroy all its secret documents by shredding them, but the students, over months, patiently sewed the bits and pieces together and published them, exposing their nefarious tactics in books that US Customs would not allow Americans to see. (Friends of mine had their copies seized when they returned from a reporting trip to Iran in that period.) There is a reference to the recovery of some of this information in Argo, but not much about what was in those documents. This was all before the age of WikLeaks.
But never mind the facts or their selective retelling: in Hollywood, only story matters. You can just hear the actors telling their agents “how cool this film is” – especially because movie-making is the movie’s sub-plot, the glory of the story, so to speak, at the core of what is, in the end, sanitized drama.
Once again, mindlessness leads to malice in a search not for truth but box office revenues. Of course, I will see it when it’s out in the Fall.
