Personally, I don’t understand why someone would be so naive to build an Islamic Centre in New York city, which has the world’s second largest Jewish population after the Pink City (Tel Aviv). The city not only has a Jew Mayor, Michael Bloomberg (serving his third term as Mayor), but also have the Headquarters of United Nations, where anti-Semite and Israel hating world leaders, such as, Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Erdogan, Gaddafi, Lula, etc. comes and delegitimize Israel.
Unless the Israel lobby groups succeed in their crusade to block the move – a group of Muslims under the guidance of Kuwait-born Muslim cleric, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, are planning to perform a miracle. They intend to build a 13-storey Muslim community center on the old site of Burlington Coat Factory at an estimated cost of US$100 million, just a few blocks away from the destroyed WTC – an Israeli false flag operation on September 11, 2001 for which Muslim were blamed. One Hasbara idiot even found out on EuropeNews (May 20, 2010) that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has Eyptian Muslim Brotherhood roots, just like several of Hamas leaders – I propose that building of the long-awaited Third Temple of Mount at WTC site would be more appropriate than an Islamic Centre 500 yards away from the WTC. And I bet, like the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC - American taxpayers’ would be more than glad to foot-in the bill.
Now, back to the proposed Cordoba House, named after the Great Mosque of Cordoba. Tea Party Express guru Mark Williams that Muslims should not be allowed to worship their “Monkey God” near Ground Zero. But after realizing that he was indirectly insulting Hinduism – the idiot apologized to American Hindus for equating their god Lord Hanuman with Allah.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg has reportedly said that he would not raise objection to the construction of the Cordoba House if passed by the city planning department.
Historically, the treatment of the Christians and Jews by Muslim states, Arab or Ottoman, was far superior to the treatment Muslims and Jews received at the hands of Christian states, or Palestinians at the hands of the Zionist state of Israel. In his book, ‘Syrian Christians in Muslim Society’, Professor Robert Haddad states that “Islamic tolerance served to insure Christian survival….. No attempt was made by any Muslim government to exterminate the Christians, and only rare and isolated attempts were made forcibly to convert them.” Professor Haddad, however, does not cite any example of attempts to force Christians to convert. Similarly, Professor Zachary Karabell states that, “for a millennium and a half, until the end of World War II, Jews under Muslim rule enjoyed more safety, freedom, and autonomy than they ever did under Christian rule. Muslim States over the course of fourteen centuries have allowed for religious diversity and not insisted on trying to convert those who follow a different creed.”
