On Monday, Turkey’s popular prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a joint press conference in Ankara with the visiting pro-West Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri – lashed out the Zionist regime for violating Lebanon’s airspace and using disproportionate force against 1.5 million Palestinians trapped inside tiny Gazah Strip.
“It is impossible for us to remain silent about what Israel have been doing. We believe that pressure should be exerted on the Israeli administration. According to UN resolutions which Israel has violated over 100 times. If they’re not to be implemented, why these rules exist?” stated Erdogan in the press conference.
Erdogan assured his guest that he is going to raise these issues at the coming UN Security Council meeting (Turkey is currently one of the 10 non-veto members of the 15-member UNSC) and with Israeli defence minister Ehud Barak who is scheduled to visit Ankara later next week. However, the fanatic anti-Muslim Israeli FM Avigdor Lieberman is reportedly against the visit and wants Israel’s ‘tough stand’ against Turkish PM Erdogan. On Monday, Israeli deputy FM Danny Ayalon protested to Turkish Ambassador on airing a Turkish TV drama depicting actors dressed as Shin Bet (Israeli terrorist group) officers who kidnap babies. The Talmudic racism was quite visible during the meeting. The Turkish Ambassador was made to sit in a low sofa while Danny sat in a high chair. The photo-op was held ahead of the meeting. Danny made remarks to the photographer in Hebrew: “Pay attention that he is sitting in a lower chair and we are in the higher ones, that there is only Israeli flag on the table and that we are not smiling.” Ankara has demanded apology for Zionist-regime’s ‘undiplomatic attitude’. However, Benjamin Netanyahu said he backs Avigdor and his racist foreign ministry official – while adding his Iranophobia: “Turkey is inching closer to Iran”.
Lebanese army, which is no match to Israel’s lethal war machine, opened fire on the four low-flying Israeli war planes violating Lebanese airspace – but no damage to the intruders. Hizb’Allah fighters are keeping low-profile – not to give Zionazis some excuse to kill more innocent people as they did in Summer 2006 23-day invasion of Lebanon.
The 10th UN report published last June listed 388 Israeli airspace violations, 48 territorial violations and 77 Sea violations. The UN special envoy for Lebanon, Michael Williams, was quoted as saying: “Every single Israeli overflight of Lebanon is violation of the UN Resolution 1701 (the basis of cease-fire after 34-day Israeli attacks on Lebanese civilian targets). To the best of my knowledge, there is probably no other country in the world which is subject to such an intrusive regime of aerial surveillance”.
The Zionist entity has a mortal threat to the unity of Lebanon since its creation on Palestinian land in 1948. In fact, Litani River and most of the South Lebanon was dreamed as part of the ‘Greater Israel’ by World Zionist movement thugs in the 1920s. Barack Obama under the pressure of Jewish lobby has demanded Lebanese government to crack down arm smuggling into the country from Syria and Iran because it poses great threat to neighboring Israel, which still happens to occupy some Lebanese territory including the Golan Height. The hypocrisy of the Nobel Peace Prize is laughable. While Washington provide billions of dollars woth military aid to Israel – he doesn’t want Lebanon to receive in conventional arms to defend itself from its mortal enemy. Hizb’Allah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah exposed Obama’s dubious nature by saying: “What we see is absolute American commitment to Israeli interests, Israeli conditions and Israeli security while disregarding the dignity or feelings of the Arab and Muslim people and their nations and governments….”
