Obama: The “Promised Messiah”

Last month in an interview, British singer-actor Sting (Gordon Matthew Summer) equated Barack Obama to Biblical Promised Messaih: “In many ways, he’s sent from God because the world is a mess”.

In April 2009, Michael D’Antuono was forced to cancel unvailing of his portrait, The Truth, depicting Obama appearing much like Jesus Christ on the Cross, at Union Square Park (N.Y.), marking Obama’s 100 days in the White House.

On February 24, 2008, addressing the Nation of Islam Saviour’s Day – Minister Louis Farrakhan said: “When Obam talks, the Messiah is absolutely speaking”.

In August 2008 – during a fundraising event in San Francisco, the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosy (Jewish) introduced Senator Barack Obama by hailing him: “A leader that God has blessed with at this time”.

As a matter of fact – the concept of the “Promised Messiah” or an “awaited Leader” who will save the world in the future – can be found in almost every major religion. For example, they’re waiting: Jews for the “Son of Man (Messiah)”, Christians for the “return of Christ” to convert the anti-Christ Jews to Christianity, Muslims for the “Imam Mahdi”, the Zoroastrians for the “Sochiant”, Hindus for the “Kalki” and Buddhists for the “Maitreya”. This blogger even called Swine Flue as “Jewish Messiah”!

Arnon Grunberg in his book The Jewish Messiah wrote that the self-claimed ‘Jewish Messiah’, Xavier Radek, was even worse for world’s Jewish population than Hitler. Just as observant Jews don’t refer to G-d by name, no one in Xavier house will refer to Hitler by name. He is always ‘You-Know-Who’. Also like Hitler, Xavier, too, rose to power to become the vicious, corrupted and violent leader of the Zionist state.

In Jewish history, more than 50 people, allegedly, have claimed this title for themselves or had claimed it by their followers, that they were indeed the promised Jewish Messiah (50 Jewish Messiahs, book by Jerry Rabow, 2002). The last name, so far, is Rebbe Menachem Schneerson, the leader of the Lubavitch sect, a visit to his Brooklyn headquarter was a must for any aspirating US presidential hopeful. However, of all these Jewish Messiah – the most famous has been Sabbatai Sevi during the Ottoman rule. Being declared a “false Messiah” by Muslim Ulema – he converted to Islam to save his life. Some of followers established the Young Turk movement and planned the destruction of the Ottoman Empire in the 1920s. Peter Wessel  Zaffe’s book The Last Messiah is worth reading.

Professor Israel Knohl (Hebrew University) in his book ‘The Messiah Before Jesus: The suffering Servant of the Dead Sea Scrolls’ - has challenged Christians’ belief of Christ being the ‘Promised Jewish Messiah’.

Hindus and Christians have countless Messiahs (Sai Babas, Gurus, and Saints). Muslims, too, have their share of ‘Mehdis’, especially during western colonization of the Muslim world. The famous among them are Bahaullah (founder of Iranian Bahai sect) and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (founder of Qadiani sect), who claimed to be both Jesus and Mehdi.

One must agree that Obama do have some divine powers otherwise how could one explain his receiving Nobel Peace Prize while waging wars! Professor Noam Chomsky in his article War, Peace and Obama\’s Nobel, wrote:

“Amid the furor over Iranian duplicity, the IAEA passed a resolution calling on Israel to join NPT (Iran is a signatory of NPT) and open its nuclear facilities to inspection. The US and EU tried to block the resolution, but it passed anyway. The media virtualy ignored the event. United States assured Israel that it would support Israel’s rejection of the resolution – reaffirming a secret understanding that has allowed Israel to maintain a nuclear arsenal closed to international inspections, according to officials familiar with the arrangement. Again, the media was silent.

Indian (not signatory to NPT) officials greeted UN Resolution 1887 that “India can now build nuclear weapons with the same destructive power as those in the arsenal of the world’s major nuclear powers (the US, Russia, Britain, France, and China),” – the Financial Times reported.

Iran hasn’t invaded another country for hundreds of years – unlike the United States, Israel and India (which occupies Kashmir, brutally). The threat from Iran is minuscule. If Iran had nuclear nuclear weapons and delivery system and prepared to use them, the country would be vaporized. To believe Iran would use nuclear to attack Israel, or anyone, “amounts to assuming that Iran’s leaders are insane” and that they look forward to being reduced to radio-active dust…….”

Now knowing that Noam Chomsky is not only one of America’s top scholars – but also son of Zionist Jew parents, a pro-Israel US citizen and made aliya to occupied Palestine – one wouldn’t be wrong to assume that Nancy Pelosy was referring to Obama is the new “Jewish Messiah”.
